Food Coma-licious

A couple of weeks ago, right before we stepped into the new year, a couple of bloggers & myself got invited to have a feast-a-lishicious lunch at Leila restaurant in Mirdif City Center.  A franchise I'm already familiar with (& brought to the UAE from Lebanon), I got ready to dive into some well deserved (well... I knew that 2012 meant healthy me & getting back on track) yummy Lebanese cuisine but with a hell of a lot creativity & twists that'll make any foodie's mouth water.  I'm talking about all types of 'traditional' dishes that have been tweaked in an exclusively yummy Leila way.  What are my favorites so far? Don't miss out on the kibbe, which is completely scrumptious (with spicy stuffing), they're stuffed Aubergine in Yoghurt/Laban (OMG!!!) & all the desserts especially they're Gazal Banat- the arabic version of Candy Floss- ice cream (we had 3 of those between just four girls because it was THAT good).

I thought I'd bid fair-well to such great tasting food (at least for now because Leila's planning to debut in my hood soon! Woop woop! Where you ask? Right opposite of Burj Khalifa)!

P.S. Thanks again to the Expose Communication team for once again being super hospitable & to everyone at Leila for not judging our completely unstylish food behaviour especially around dessert time! Oh, & for the rose! I actually put it in a vase with the Leila tag because it was that much of a GREAT double treat!

P.P.S. Event of the Day: SO, I was just going through my mail post weekend away in Bahrain (yes, tears over my poor island) & I get THE COOLEST thing EVER! What you ask? A leaflet/poster thingy informing me of the DURAN DURAN concert on March 8th organised by DoneEvents! Am I ecstatic? JES! Did the teen in me go WOOOHOOO? Hells JES! Will I be there singing & dancing along? Definitely! Might even pack a pair of leg warmers just in case they sing a couple of the'r oldies! WOOHOO I CAN'T WAIT! 80's feva all the way!!!

P.P.P.S. Song of the Day: Come Undone by Duran Duran (I'm cheesy like that! So obviously had to pick my SOTD to be one of theirs! Mainly because it got stuck in my head the minute I saw the flier & that they're too cool for school! The epitome of the greatness of music band in the decades past! Hope you enjoy my DD flashback!)
